A transparent paper (5 x 1.35 m) into which I've made several cuts lengthways, a couple of millimeters apart. The cuts are 70–80 cm long, distributed into 5 sections across the surface. Each section of cuts has its own character, the variations depending on how the paper behaved as I cut it up. As the paper was pressed down by the blade of the knife some strips rose, angled to the surface beneath, while others stayed flat.
The play of light and shadow on the surface creates a quiet murmur that changes as one moves around the work, from certain angles increasing into a dazzling roar.
